Summer of 1995, the quest for an ideal retirement paradise ended when finally Barangay San Roque, in the hinterlands of Sumilao, Bukidnon was chosen to become the home of BARFARM. Situated at the foot of scenic Mount Kitanlad, the initial 7-hectare barren land was soon to be converted into an integrated farm operation.
Now, five years later, BARFARM has emerged into a haven for 300 fighting cocks on cord, 300 Kabir Chicken breeders, 4 modest size Tilapia ponds, over 7000 Mahogany and Bagras trees, at least 1000 Durian trees, more than 1000 Lakatan Bananas, not less than 1000 Giant Guavas, and a few hundreds King Mandarin, Rambutan, Longkong Lanzones, Nangka, Thailand Bamboos and still planting.
The retirement paradise has in fact expanded to become an aggregate of 25 hectares of really beautiful Agro-Venture project which includes Halfway House, the ultimate destination for all farm fresh produce located along the National Hi-way where the public can buy all BARFARM products at farm-gate prices and amid the breathtaking view of famous Mangima Canyon in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.
